Continue the mission of the Great Physician by being a part of the Connect Team. The team will travel by plane and bus with a group of medical personnel and evangelists, reaching remote areas of the Amazon Basin with the Gospel message. In the jungle, medical care is often a key that opens doors to church planting. The CONNECT Team will also have opportunities to work with national pastors in the public schools using child evangelism and Vacation Bible Schools.
The Place - Guyana is the only South American country where English is the official language and most people speak English. Uniquely, Guyana also has the largest concentration of Hindus in the Western Hemisphere. It is one of nine South American countries that shares the Amazon Basin. The Amazon region holds the largest concentration of unreached people anywhere on earth.
The People of the Bolivia are made up of four groups; the Highland indigenous peoples Aymara and Quechua, making up the majority, Mestizos, Europeans and Afro-Bolivians. We will focus our work among the jungle villages, where Spanish is the predominate language spoken.
The Purpose of our Med-evangelism Team is to work with our national pastors to evangelize through the mobile medical clinics, which opens areas where they seek to plant new churches. You will experience firsthand several aspects unique to Guyana; such as, Hindu culture, school evangelism, VBS, Muslim culture, and Guyana’s food.

Special Information for Medical Personnel
If you will be using your medical training to assist the team, you will be required to provide a copy of your credentials and diploma. Pre-registration with the Guyana Ministry of Health is required
